Ovation Website
Web Design & Development using Figma + Webflow
By Gelo Lagasca · 2025

Overview
Ovation Productions is one of the Philippines’ top live concert producers. They needed a clean, CMS-powered website where fans could check upcoming shows, revisit past events, and buy tickets — while giving their in-house graphic designers full control over content updates.
This project focused on clarity, simplicity, and flexibility, with the event posters taking visual center stage.
Objectives
✔️ Create a clean, responsive design
✔️ Build a CMS-driven site in Webflow
✔️ Make it easy to update by graphic designers
✔️ Add direct links to external ticketing platforms
✔️ Turn the site into a library of past events
✔️ Create a clear sitemap to guide structure and content planning

Strategy & Sitemap
Before jumping into design, I created a simple sitemap to define the site’s structure and user flows.
Pages Included:
• Homepage
• Events (Upcoming & Past)
•Single Event Page
• Artists
• About / Contact
• Press / News

The sitemap helped align on:

From Wireframe to Webflow
The client provided a wireframe.
I refined it in Figma, then developed the site fully in Webflow.

Design Approach
Since Ovation’s event posters are already colorful and high-energy, the site design had to be clean and minimal.
• Black/white layout
• Very limited font usage
• Spacious layout to highlight the posters
• Responsive across devices

CMS Setup (Built for Designers)
The CMS was structured for ease of use by non-developers.
CMS Collections:
• Events
• Artists
• News / Press
• CMS Fields per Event:
• Poster image
• Show title
• Artist name
• Date, venue, time
• “Buy Tickets” external link
• Past/Upcoming toggle

Archive of Past Events
Aside from upcoming shows, the website also serves as a living archive of past Ovation events.
• Fans can revisit posters and relive memorable shows
• Useful for press kits, partner portfolios, and fans
• Adds nostalgia and longevity to the website
Results
